TESTIMONIALS

Rex Osborn was a guest speaker for Negotiations Week at UC Davis School of Law in September 2013. His insight into high-stakes negotiations that involve hostages was nothing short of fascinating. He is a very engaging speaker and we were delighted to have him as our guest.

Captain Rex Osborn was great to work with. He was eager to talk to our group and very responsive to our requests. We asked him to relate his experience in hostage negotiation to our audience of law students and future negotiators. And he sure delivered! Captain Osborn keenly observed his audience and used that information to make his talk truly engaging. We will definitely invite Captain Osborne back to talk again in the future. We highly recommend him.

look at the people at my school or anywhere else the same way ever again.
I realized how much people stereotype and that we are all guilty of it.’

I am writing to recommend Rex Osborn, Community Outreach Manager for the City of Manteca, as an experienced and qualified facilitator and meeting coordinator. I worked with Mr. Osborn on the Manteca Neighborhood Action Planning project, a process designed to engage the residents of Manteca to participate in improving their community. Central to the Neighborhood Action Planning process were the neighborhood workshops, facilitated in partnership between MIG staff and Mr. Osborn. He demonstrated a strong skill set in all aspect of meeting coordination and facilitation: coordinating multiple meeting venues and adeptly utilizing technology, newspaper advertisements and word-of-mouth techniques to gather large groups of residents in each neighborhood. Mr. Osborn was also an engaging facilitator, creating a welcoming environment where residents felt comfortable openly sharing their input and working together for the common goal of enhancing their neighborhoods. I would strongly recommend Rex Osborn as a facilitator because of his animated and engaging personality that captures the attention of meeting participants, as well as his experience and expertise in coordination with multiple agencies and outreach to members of the community.

Sincerely,
